PackagePad is designed to always be available, unlike other systems.  While an Internet connection is required in order to send email notifications to residents, the system is designed to work without an Internet connection, allowing packages to be deposited and retrieved when the Internet is down.  When the Internet connection comes back up, any pending email notifications are then sent out automatically.  With an optional UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) unit, the PackagePad system can remain operational during power outages.  Additionally, all PackagePad package history information and resident information is backed up on the OwnerGo secure servers.
